Tuesday I pulled a brace onto each ankle and went to Brooklyn to go scrambling up and down the hills of The Green-Wood Cemetery like a lightheaded mountain goat, shooting photos. The thing about Spring is that it doesn't burst out all at once or the same everywhere. The magnolias are all blooming, but the cherry blossoms haven't even detonated yet. I wouldn't miss the magnificent Battle Avenue cherries blooming for the world. I have other cemeteries I travel to as well, so.... My spring cemetery shooting season has only begun.

I also saw a hawk and a cardinal but they were both flying too fast for me to get a shot of.

New York City may be one of the most photographed places in the world, but it's usually the same stuff. I'm most often covering the rest of it: the beauty in old cemeteries, the beautiful crazy and just plain crazy in Manhattan store windows, and less-seen nooks and crannies of parks and side streets.

Hi! This'll seem pretty weird, but could you reply to this with a hamster quote? Anything, like, "hamsters are cuddly" will be perfect. Thanks!

How about:

My favorite hamsters are the fluffy ones, but they're all cute.
